SCOPE: Four Page Feature Article
Sports Illustrated Kids is a monthly derivative of the beloved American Sports Magazine, Sports Illustrated. SI Kids covers sporting events and news with simpler terminology and a focus on humor. “Obsessed With Lebron” by Howard Beck is a great article that delivers Lebron James’ start up story and legacy he continuously built throughout the years, in an easy-to-understand way. Factors like bold colors, exaggerated illustrations, fun typography, textures, and layering were all taken into consideration to successfully attract a younger audience. By working with a three-column grid, the page layouts maintained consistency and readability.
